In the summer of 2002, the NSAA held a unique exhibition featuring the work of artists who passed their legacy of art on to the next generation. All artists featured in the exhibition were artist members of the NSAA. Fourteen families are represented here and thirty-six artists all demonstrating that "the paint doesn't drip far from the brush." Chairman of the exhibition committee was Kathleen Valentine. On this page we feature some of the works from that exhibition. The catalog, which is available on our publications page features first-person stories by artists on other artists and seven touching essays by second generation artists about learning art from their artist parent.
