2008 WORKSHOPS FOR
KIDS & TEENS

WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 2008                                     10:00 am – 12:00 pm

$10 per class • Limited to 10 participants

Workshops for children ages 8 – 12 are being offered on consecutive Tuesday mornings this summer. Students will be painting Harborscapes (from the NSAA grounds) the first two Tuesdays, July 8 & 15, 2008 with Rockport Public Schools’ Art Teacher Simon Paddock.  Simon will then begin the instruction of still life subject on July 22nd.  Susan Hedman, Artist Member of NSAA and Art Teacher at the Landmark School in Manchester, who works in watercolor & oil, will continue the still life study on July 29th. Susan will instruct the students in painting Self-Portraits on Aug. 5th and 12th.  Easels and supplies will be provided.

Pre-registration is required. Students may enroll in any number of classes, although since the curriculum is divided into three parts (2 classes each), students will gain the most by attending both classes involved with the same subject.

WORKSHOPS FOR TEENS

$15 per class • Limited to 12 participants

Painting classes for serious art students aged 12 – 18 will be held on six consecutive Tuesday afternoons this summer.

July 8th & 15th : Artist Member, Ivan N. Kamalic, Oil Painting

July 22nd & 29th :  Artist Member, Bob Jorgensen, Watercolor Painting

August 5th & 12th:  Artist Member, Liné Tutwiler, Oil Painting

Students may enroll in any number of classes, although since the curriculum is divided into three parts (2 classes each), students will gain the most by attending both classes involved with the same subject. Students are asked to bring their own supplies. (Assistance available.) A supply list will be provided upon registration. Easels and supplemental supplies will be provided. 

Pre-registration (no later than 7 days before the class) is required for all ages.
